1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Audix mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Audix is an audiobook platform that provides access to audiobook summaries, full-length audiobooks, and AI-powered features including voice chat and text-based book discussions. The Service includes both free and premium content accessible through in-app purchases.

3. Account Registration

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use the Service. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Content & Intellectual Property

Platform Content

The Service provides access to audiobooks, including public domain titles and premium content. All audiobook narrations, summaries, and AI-generated content provided through the Service are owned by or licensed to Audix and are protected by intellectual property laws.

User Content

You may upload PDFs or other documents for personal use within the Service. You retain ownership of any content you upload. By uploading content, you represent that you have the right to do so and grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the Service to you.

Restrictions

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content provided through the Service without our prior written consent, except as expressly permitted by applicable law.

5. In-App Purchases & Pricing

The Service offers free and premium tiers. Premium features are available through in-app purchases managed by RevenueCat via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. All purchases are subject to the terms and refund policies of the respective app store. Prices may change at any time, but changes will not affect active subscriptions until renewal.

6. AI Features

The Service includes AI-powered features such as voice chat and text-based conversations about books. These features are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. AI-generated responses may not always be accurate, complete, or up to date. We do not warrant the accuracy of any AI-generated content, and you should not rely on it as a sole source of information.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service or extract data
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Use AI features to generate harmful, abusive, or misleading content
• Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple people to use a single account

8. Microphone & Voice Data

Certain features require microphone access to enable voice conversations. Microphone audio is streamed in real time to our voice processing partners and is not recorded or stored by Audix. You can revoke microphone permissions at any time through your device settings. Revoking microphone access will disable voice chat features but will not affect other functionality.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to the Service, other users, or third parties. You may delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AUDIX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SERVICE.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Effective Date" above. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
