Audix ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Audix mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. Your password is securely hashed by our authentication provider and is never stored in plain text.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including listening history, playback progress, chapter completion status, book requests you submit, and search queries. This data helps us improve your experience and personalize recommendations.

Audio & Voice Data

If you use our voice chat feature, microphone audio is streamed in real time to our voice processing partners for the duration of the conversation. We do not record or store your voice audio on our servers.

Chat Messages

Messages you send through our AI chat features are transmitted to our AI service providers for processing. Chat history may be retained to provide continuity within your conversations.

Purchase Data

In-app purchases are processed through your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play). We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status and purchase history. We do not have access to your full payment details.

Local Storage

We store authentication tokens and your voice preference settings locally on your device to maintain your session and preferences.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your location data, contacts, camera access, analytics or advertising identifiers, or push notification tokens.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Personalize your experience, including playback progress and recommendations
• Process your in-app purchases and manage subscriptions
• Power AI features such as voice chat and text-based conversations

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate the Service. Each has its own privacy policy governing data it processes:

• Supabase — Authentication, database, and file storage
• ElevenLabs — Real-time voice synthesis for voice chat features
• OpenAI — AI-powered text chat and content processing
• RevenueCat — In-app purchase and subscription management
• LiveKit — Real-time audio streaming infrastructure

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers provided by Supabase, which uses industry-standard encryption and security practices. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. You have the right to:
